More Than a Gym. A Community Built on Real Training.
Our Story
Impact Martial Arts was founded in Gallatin, TN by Righteous Stevenson — a lifelong martial artist who saw a gap in Sumner County: a school that combined serious technical instruction with a culture that truly welcomed everyone, regardless of age or experience. What started as a vision became a thriving academy where kids build real confidence, adults develop real self-defense skills, and families train together.
What We Teach
Kenpo Karate — A striking-based system that builds coordination, discipline, and mental focus. Ideal for kids and adults who want structured traditional training with modern application.
Krav Maga — Israel’s practical self-defense system, designed for real-world situations. Teens and adults learn to handle threats efficiently using instinctive movement and decisive action.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) — Ground-based grappling that teaches control, positioning, and submissions. Our No-Gi BJJ program is available for kids ages 6–12 and adults 13+. BJJ builds problem-solving under pressure and is one of the most effective self-defense arts in the world.
Who We Serve
We have programs for every age and stage: Tiny Warriors (ages 3–4), Little Warriors (ages 5–7), Kids Karate (ages 8–12), Kids Jiu-Jitsu (ages 6–12), Adult Krav Maga, and Adult BJJ. Beginners are welcome in every class. You do not need any prior experience to get started.
Why Families Choose Impact
Families drive from Hendersonville, Goodlettsville, Portland, White House, and across Sumner County to train at Impact because of our coaches, our culture, and our results. We’re not a franchise. We’re your neighbors — and we train like it matters, because to us it does.

Karate Kids Coaching Staff
Righteous Stevenson — Owner & Head Instructor
Righteous has spent nearly a decade building Impact Martial Arts into Gallatin’s go-to training facility. He holds instructor-level credentials in Kenpo Karate, Krav Maga, and Jiu-Jitsu and has trained students from white belt to black belt across every age group. His coaching philosophy: meet students where they are, push them further than they thought they could go, and never sacrifice technique for speed.
Megan Stevenson — Coach
Megan brings energy, patience, and precision to every class she teaches. She specializes in working with our youngest students — Tiny Warriors and Little Warriors — and has a gift for making kids feel safe, seen, and genuinely excited to train. Parents consistently credit Megan for helping their children build the kind of confidence that carries off the mat and into school, friendships, and life.
Josh Wiseman — Coach
Josh is a technically sharp instructor with a deep background in striking-based martial arts. He trains adults and teens in Kenpo and Krav Maga with an emphasis on clean mechanics and real-world application. Students who train under Josh leave class knowing exactly why every movement works — not just how to perform it.
Allen Felts — Coach
Allen is a Krav Maga specialist whose background includes defensive tactics training and practical combatives. He brings a no-nonsense, functional approach to self-defense instruction that resonates with adults who want skills they can actually use. Allen’s classes are demanding, focused, and some of the most requested on our schedule.
